Starbucks Union

Duisburg, Germany, May 18th: FAU-IWA Duisburg local established a stall in front of the Starbucks shop at the brand-new luxory shopping mall "City-Palais". Workers have been informed about the SWU and Starbucks union-busting in the USA. Clients and people passing where mostly upset about Starbucks policy as well as about the fact that they set up a shop in a poor industrial town with more than 20% jobless people.

FAU is a small, but very active grassroot union in Germany. Local FAU unions did pickets and took other type of action against Starbucks union-busting policy in more than a dozen German towns over the past two years.
