Hi guys!

Well done!

We are also unionising Starbucks workers here in Auckland, New Zealand and are getting a very positive response!

Keep it up!

We already have solidarity with NZ, and AU. Just like them America is a post-british colonial power, made up of a white ruling class that has stolen from and marginalized the native populations. Now the "priviliged children of Empire" want more "Middle class entitlements" oh yeah, they also dont want any wrist strain, or to have to bend over to pick up a gallon of milk.
I say all of you coddled first-worlders need to experience some real "hard work". Starbucks is the easiest job. If you find working a morning rush difficult?, maybe you should find a job as a hospital parking lot attendant and sit in a little air conditioned box on your ass all day.
Lazy, Lazy, Lazy, priveleged, educated, safe, healthy first-worlders. you are getting what you DESERVE.

I'd like to see a union that included the coffee farmers, the truck drivers, the workers in the distribution centers, the barristas, and everybody else in the industry.

LOL farmers suffering??? The average trade for coffee is in the 80 cent range, and Stabucks pays $1.30 on average. So this hateful company who wants nothing than to make the people involved suffer, pays 61% more than the average trade price. Maybe I'm stupid, but that seems pretty fair. Not to mention the Fair Trade price is still under what Starbucks pays on average. There is also a VERY successful program that Starbucks does with its coffee growers. They do a lot, make sure schools are built, make sure the community gets better, ect. How can you say that coffee growers are suffering. Maybe the ones who grow for Foldgers are, but not Starbucks.

DontFormAUnion, you are ill informed about Unions and how they help workers and I'm afraid that you know very little about the farm workers on the coffee farms or anything about what farm workers in this country put up with. Farm workers are one of the most exploited groups of workers in this country. Farm workers are organizing with the United Farm Workers for better working conditions.
