Should Starbucks cafes keep the tip jars or take the tip jars out completely?

This ruling deeply troubled me. As a shift supervisor, I do the exact same things I did as a barista, and have more to do on top of that. My pay went from little over $9 to $9.50 an hour when I got promoted. Shift supervisors should be getting tips, unless Starbucks wants to give us a salary with higher pay. Those are the options: we get tips, or we get better pay when promoted.
