Can I wear these shoes?! Help!

Hi there,
I was recently hired to work for Starbucks but haven't been placed to a store yet in my district. I just purchased all black leather Nike running shoes. Will I be allowed to wear these to work? I overheard something about "no athletic shoes". Please help! Thank you!

that is true. if anything you can get oil and slip resistance would help so that way you don't hurt yourself.
