Starbucks Union

Been a partner in the city of Chicago for a while now, and have a pretty extensive list of pros and cons adding up in my head lately (my recent $.15/hr raise maybe has something to do with that)

Would like to exchange a bit with local partners, suss out some possible regionally specific issues or challenges and then perhaps organize if it seems warranted.

I'm very fine with keeping it on the down-low if anybody else out there is wary. I haven't seen or heard anything union related in stores around here, so not sure what the responses will be.

This is purely exploratory right now, haven't decided myself one way or another, so I'd appreciate any responses be from Chicago-area partners only, or from people with experience organizing Chicago stores.

Oh, and I tend to relate better to the logical, fact-based posts, rather than all the impassioned flaming and ill-will bandied about on here.
